Our Client Area Square appointed Clovis to design and install a canopy that would compliment the impressive new circular sliding door system their client Whitbread were introducing at the UK head office.
Our design team working with the client design manager developed a proposal based on our Cambridge Cantilever style canopy with a toughened glass glazed roof.
Design considerations included the fixing of the canopy, 2 nos. CHS columns secured below surface to concrete pad foundations - details from Structural Engineer (site specific).
To collect rain water we fabricated a unique aluminum gutter at the rear of the canopy (obscured) to follow the columns and inset screen above the circular doors.
Framework and RWG all polyester powder coated to the clients specification, glazing fixed with proprietary stainless steel bolts to enhance the overall appearance.
Time scale - 6 weeks to design and fabricate canopy, 1 day install on site with all groundworks by others.
